Silvergrass East and Brockman Heritage Survey 2019

In 2019 we conducted an archaeological assessment for Rio Tinto Iron Ore’s Brockman and Silvergrass East projects in conjunction with Eastern Guruma representatives through the Wintawari Guruma Aboriginal Corporation.

Walebing Aboriginal Burial Mound GPR investigation 2019

In 2019 Major Oak Heritage Services undertook an archaeological pedestrian transect survey and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) investigation to confirm the presence of an Aboriginal Burial Mound.

The survey was a success and was amazing to get great feedback from the client.

New Norcia Burials GPR investigation 2019

In 2019 Major Oak Heritage Services undertook an archaeological pedestrian transect survey and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) investigations to confirm the presence of early-European gravesites and to determine the likelihood of other previously unidentified graves within the project area.

We were successful in identifying several unidentified graves alongside the previously known European gravesites.

Eliwana Rail Project 2018

Conducted an archaeological survey, site recording and assessment, and reporting for the FMG Eliwana rail project, on behalf of the Wintawari Guruma Aboriginal Corporation. The assessment was conducted in conjunction with Eastern Guruma representatives through the Wintawari Guruma Aboriginal Corporation and Thomson Cultural Heritage Management.

Brockman 3

Conducted an archaeological assessment for Rio Tinto Iron Ore’s Brockman 3 and Western Turner Syncline projects in conjunction with Eastern Guruma representatives through the Wintawari Guruma Aboriginal Corporation and Thomson Cultural Heritage Management.
